Brighton & Hove Golf Club has an active Women’s Section. We have competitions every week, with members able to participate either on a Wednesday morning for the Ladies’ competitions or Saturday morning for mixed events. If you are not the competitive type and just want to enjoy golf in beautiful surroundings, join us on a Sunday afternoon for our Women’s Roll Up, the opportunity to have a social game followed by some tea and cake.
We play in Sussex County Ladies' Golf Association Division 2 and the Martlets Division, competing against other clubs in Sussex. In addition, during the summer months we organise “friendlies” with other clubs which are opportunities to play at other courses for free and meet lots of other friendly women golfers. We also represent the club in various other competitions across the county and beyond.
We love welcoming new members! If you’re just discovering the wonderful game of golf give a call to Lindsay on 01273 556482 or send her an email. She’ll be happy to give you all the information you need. Our hope is that you will see golf as a great way to stay healthy, make friends and have a lot of fun. We’ll look after you and take you out on the course so you can discover the game in the best possible conditions.
Our Head Professional Brad Harris arranges group lessons and other sessions and we hope you’ll join us! Please check out our Women's Get Into Golf Academy for beginners which starts on 1st April 2024.
Our ever-popular Ladies' Open in 2024 will be on Wednesday 7th August. This is currently fully booked but you can click here for details and to see the entry form.
Brighton and Hove Golf Club is fully supportive of the Women in Golf Charter launched by The R and A in May 2018 and supported by England Golf and other organisations from across the industry.
The purpose of the Charter is to create an inclusive environment for women and girls within golf. In particular it aims to encourage more women and girls to play the game and join clubs and also to inspire more families to enjoy golf as a group leisure activity. To find out more click here to go to the England Golf website page.
Come join us! We love our beautiful and challenging course with amazing views, we’re sure you’ll love it too, so we hope to see you soon.
